"This was by far the best place I've ever stayed at in NZ. My sister and I had traveled from Auckland city, Manukau City, Waitomo, Rotorua and now in Wellington. I can honestly say, this was the best place we had been to. The couple who own the Lodge are so friendly and welcoming. We spent some time at the reception talking to them about places to visit and they did all the calling around for us. We joked around with them for a bit and oh God, what true kiwi humor lol. We will definitely recommend your place to stay to all our friends and family. God bless you both. If there were a 6 star, I'd rate you guys with a 6 star. I bow down to your service :D"

"Silver Fern Lodge offers the friendliest, most generous accommodation. The facilities were practical for use, well set out and right in the centre of Taupo. Furthermore the balcony at the front of the lodge leads out from the Kitchen offering a fantastic view of Taupo. The lodge owners are extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. I have traveled all the way from England so they made me feel really safe and looked after. This place is really special and suitable for families, backpackers, you name it, i guarantee that the guys at Silver Lodge can sort it for you. "Our stay at Lake Taupo was rather impromptu, and after receiving such a poor reception at the first Motel we approached, we then came across the Silver Fern Lodge just a stone’s throw away. Well, what a difference in attitude and friendliness, honestly you couldn’t ask for a nicer couple to manage a Motel/Lodge. On top of that, the accommodation was very clean and presentable in all respects which caters for families and singlies alike. We have travelled to many parts of the world, and I would have to rate this establishment a four out of five for value for money.
